What Lomi Lomi Is
Lomi Lomi is a traditional Hawaiian massage worked with the forearms and hands in long, continuous strokes that travel the length of the body. The rhythm is the point: instead of isolating one knot at a time, the work flows, and the nervous system follows it down.
Each session is intuitive rather than scripted. People choose it for deep relaxation, for weeks when tension sits everywhere at once, and for wanting a treatment that feels like being carried rather than worked on. If you prefer targeted, stationary pressure, therapeutic massage is the better call.
Why People Book Lomi Lomi
Whole-Body Tension with No Single Source
Stress That Sits Everywhere at Once
Feeling Disconnected from Your Own Body
Restlessness and Shallow Sleep
Wanting Relaxation Deeper Than a Spa Massage
Recovery Weeks When Everything Aches
What a Lomi Lomi Session Looks Like
The strokes are continuous by design, so the session feels like one long movement rather than a series of techniques.
- 1
A Short Intake
Your history, how your body feels this week, and the pressure you like. Then the talking stops. - 2
Settling In
You get comfortable on the table under the sheet, with draping keeping you covered throughout. - 3
The Work
Continuous, flowing strokes with forearms and hands, moving the length of the body. Pressure adapts to you; the rhythm stays. - 4
Afterwards
Come up slowly. Most people feel loose, warm and quieter in the head. Water helps, and so does not rushing off.
What Lomi Lomi Costs
Sessions are $130 for 60 minutes, $160 for 75 and $180 for 90, before HST. Every rate is on the pricing page.
Delivered by a Registered Massage Therapist, so many Ontario extended health plans cover it as massage therapy. Receipts included.
